The Caribou Ski Lodge at Eldora Mountain Resort serves as the hub for Eldora Ski School, the Ignite Adaptive Ski Program, and various public amenities, including restrooms, dining, seating, and retail. Guests arriving from the parking lot are welcomed by a spacious covered porch leading to ticketing and restroom facilities. At the upper snow level, a large outdoor deck offers seating, a perimeter bar rail, and an exterior café window with direct ski hill access. The retail area is prominently positioned at the level 2 entry, accessible via a wide stair and covered deck.
Designed with inclusivity and sustainability in mind, the lodge features a dedicated space for the Ignite Adaptive Sports program, offering a large accessible drop-off area, a central fitting zone, adaptive equipment storage, and an elevator connecting directly to a pedestrian bridge for ski lift access. Eldora Ski School includes check-in, boot fitting, ski tuning, and equipment storage, along with a cafeteria-style children’s dining area. Sustainable features include a 50 kW solar panel system, high-efficiency insulation, airtight construction, low-flow water fixtures, and LED lighting, ensuring energy efficiency throughout the facility.
