Tread of Pioneers Museum
The Tread of Pioneers Museum Expansion Project included the addition of a new collection storage building and an exhibit space. The storage addition is a 2-story plus basement, 3,800 SF building designed to incorporate the residential details of the area to meet the City requirements. This “residential” building also provides museum grade storage including temperature and humidity control, high load capacity floors and increased storage access by incorporating a material lift to transport larger exhibit items. The glassed in connection between the existing museum and the new addition is for the display of the historic snow cat machine.
